12-11-06: The
Lady Flames' optional teams participated in the 2006 Christmas Classic
held at Michigan Academy of Gymnastics in Westland, MI. Cautious
optimism was met with surprising results as the Flames' Level 8's
garnered the 1st Place Team Award. Led by Delina Phillips (36.475)
the 8's caught fire for a total of 19 individual "Top 3" placements.
SSSsssss!
The Level 9's performed well, demonstrating their first
ever double-back saltos (floor) at a competition. Jessica
Leadbetter captured the gold on vault with her Front Handspring Front
Tuck. Memorable!
